Oonagh McDevitt

I originally started practicing Pilates in the 1990’s when I lived and worked in London - it wasn't love at my first class - it took a few months before I was convinced! Since then it has become part of my daily and weekly routines. Pilates has been good to me - both my mind and my body. It has helped keep me balanced, strong and flexible in both my work and hobbies including running, swimming, cycling, hillwalking, golf, gardening and sofa days, and growing older days!

Qualifications

I am a member of Ireland Active and have taught Pilates mat, reformer and Barre to around 2000 clients in the past 8 years in South Donegal and surrounding counties.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Pilates from the National Training Centre Dublin, and have trained in reformer Pilates at Pilates Performance Ireland in Dublin, and hold a Diploma in Exercise Referral from the Platinum Training Institute Belfast.

I regularly update my knowledge and have completed the Living Well with Arthritis course organised by Arthritis Ireland, the Cara Inclusive Fitness Training, Self Myofacial Release Course at the Platinum Training Institute Belfast, and Covid 19 safety procedures in an exercise setting course.
