Prenatal Pilates

Our *NEW* Prenatal Pilates classes are scheduled for Wednesdays at 7pm. They focus on your core stability and posture, with particular attention paid to your pelvic floor muscles. The aim is to help prepare your body for childbirth, and help maintain strength and increase body awareness. Our Prenatal Pilates class is suitable for all levels of fitness.

Exercising during pregnancy

Keeping fit and active during your pregnancy will help you to more easily adapt to your changing shape and weight gain. It will also help you to cope with labour and get back into shape after the birth.

During your pregnancy, the focus will be on maintenance of your fitness and incorporating gentle stretching, toning and developing mind body connection.

It is advisable to keep up your normal daily physical activity or exercise for as long as you feel comfortable.

Please check with your GP or midwife to ensure Pilates is right for you at this time.

Take things at your pace

During your class, work at the level that is right for you now, not where you were before you became pregnant.

Listen to your body, rest when you need to.

Ask if you are unsure - our aim is for you to get the most out of each of your sessions.
