what to expect

You will be doing various exercises designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920's, best known as Pilates to help you maintain and develop your body to get the most out of your every day.

This includes working on developing strength in your arms, shoulders, legs, and core. We also work on muscle balance, and stability balance. Attention is also paid to your joints - particularly your knees, hips, shoulders, spine, hands and feet.

Above all these classes are fun, and interactive.

How fit do I need to be?

The class is suitable for all fitness levels and ages. Whether you are recovering from an injury, or prefer exercises in a seated position, you will benefit from this class.

Instructions will be given for doing the exercises in both a seated and also a standing position. All moves will be described and clearly demonstrated, and options will be given to make each of the moves more accessible or slightly more challenging depending on ability to ensure you get the most out of your class.

Private group training

We have been running private online Chair Pilates for several clubs and organisations since March 2020 including the Ballyshannon Active Retirement Group, Sport Ireland, and the NW Branch of MS Ireland.
